About Us

Established in 1965, the Tennessee Saddle Club Association (TSCA) is a non-profit organization that is the home organization for 35+ member clubs located in Tennessee and Kentucky.  The TSCA oversees the rules, regulations and by laws for member clubs to ensure consistent and fair competition.  The association is run by officers, directors and committees who organize meetings and prepare annually for the State Horse Show held Labor Day weekend of each year.

There are so many reasons why one should consider becoming part of an organization that supports the love that we have for our horses.  The saddle club association offers something for every equine enthusiast.  Where else can you go and watch the smallest riders do leadline and then watch everything else from judged events to speed events.  There are classes for both trotting and non-trotting (gaited) breeds, big and small.

Member Clubs

Locations:  Member clubs are located all over Tennessee and Kentucky.  Each club offers speed events, western judged events (including ranch riding and hunter under saddle), gaited classes and halter classes.  Age divisions are 6 & Under, 12 & Under, 13-17, Adult and Open.

Show Season:  The typical show season for the member clubs is from April to August.  However, a few clubs ride in the late fall or start very early in the spring.

Membership:  Each club is run by officers and establishes their own membership fees based on the operating expenses for their location.    Membership is open to anyone.  Click on "Local Clubs" to find one near you.

The Keyhole event is specific only to youth 12 & Under and is always a fun and exciting event to watch!

State Horse Show

Member clubs compete all season and send the top five competitors in each event to compete at the State Horse Show on Labor Day weekend.

Points will be awarded to each club based on how their competitors do in each event.  Top awards will be awarded to the Overall Highpoint Club, Western Highpoint, English (gaited) Highpoint and Speed Event Highpoint.
